LORI STANLEY

Lori is an expert in managing selection and contracting processes for architects, engineers, consultants, construction managers at risk and design-builders.

She was responsible for managing the advertisement, selection, negotiation, and contract preparation for over a thousand qualification-based selection (QBS) processes during her 18 years as a Contracts Officer / Contracts Administration Supervisor for the City of Phoenix. These projects included parks, waterlines, streets, fire stations, and libraries. Lori also managed the consultant and/or Construction Manager at Risk selection processes for most of the City's largest projects, including runways, libraries, museums, and treatment plants, including the $500 million convention center expansion and the $1 billion Automated Train.

In 2006, Lori retired from the City and created Selection Solutions Consulting, Inc.. Lori works with consultants and contractors to help make their Statements of Qualifications and interview processes more effective. She also assists public owners in creating or improving their consultant, CM@Risk, and Design/Build QBS selection processes.

Lori has been an active member of the American Public Works Association (APWA) including eight years as a Director on the Board for the APWA Arizona Chapter. She has also been awarded emeritus status from the Alliance of Construction Excellence. Lori earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Arizona State University.
HILARI WEINSTEIN

Hilari Weinstein knows what it takes to stand out against tough competition. Out of thousands of collegiate competitors nationwide, she won two National Championship Titles at the American Forensics Association's Annual Collegiate Speaking Tournament. In her first year as a coach, two of her students placed in the top five.

Her presentation coaching skills are sought after. Armed with a Master's degree in Speech Communication from The University of Texas at Austin (one of the top ranked communication schools in the country) and training from Coach University, in addition to years of experience in sales and sales training, Hilari has worked with clients nationwide to help make their presentations more effective and engaging.

Through customized workshops, interview preparation consulting, and one-on-one coaching, her clients have gained greater confidence, effectiveness and influence and, in the past few years alone, have secured numerous A/E/C projects valued at hundreds of millions of dollars.

In addition to serving on the faculty of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Leadership Program, she is a regular columnist for Southwest Contractor Magazine and has been published in The Phoenix Business Journal. Currently, she is on the Board of Directors for the National Speakers Association, Arizona Chapter.
